The front area can be designed in several ways depending on the client’s hair length, face shape, and personal style. It may include Face Framing, Jaw Framing, Hime Cut details, or Butterfly Layers. On longer hair, the front can be shaped more like Butterfly Layers while the back maintains a stronger Wolf Cut silhouette. The main difference between a Wolf Cut and other layered styles is its distribution of volume. The upper section carries more movement and volume, while the shape gradually becomes narrower and lighter toward the bottom. This creates the distinctive elongated silhouette associated with the style. The name comes from its wild, tapered shape, inspired by the outline and movement of a wolf’s coat. However, the finished result does not always need to look extreme. It can be soft, elegant, dramatic, artistic, or more heavily disconnected depending on the direction chosen.
